- International Retreat Facilitator
Doreen Horan, MS, LPC, FAMI, NCC
Doreen is a counselor, retreat facilitator, and clinical supervisor with more than 23 years of experience supporting individuals and groups through healing, growth, grief, and life transitions. She has extensive experience facilitating therapeutic camps, retreats, and educational workshops, bringing compassion, creativity, humor, and wisdom to each experience.
Her approach is integrative and spiritually oriented, drawing from mindfulness, Jungian, Adlerian, psychodynamic, and existential psychology. She incorporates creative and experiential practices such as guided imagery, art, dreamwork, nature, labyrinths, and play to help participants explore their inner worlds, develop greater self-awareness, and reconnect with their sense of self.
Doreen is passionate about the transformative potential of retreat settings and the opportunities they create for reflection, connection, and personal exploration. She thoughtfully creates environments where individuals and groups can step away from familiar routines, slow down, become curious about their experiences, and engage with themselves in new ways.
Throughout her career, Doreen has been committed to supporting healing through community and education. She created and directed Camp Me Too, a therapeutic weekend camp for youth and adults, and has collaborated on projects focused on grief and trauma. As a certified clinical supervisor, she also brings extensive experience mentoring and supporting other counselors in their professional development.
Across her retreat work, Doreen brings a warm, compassionate, and deeply human presence. She creates spaces where participants can connect with themselves and others, explore their inner worlds through creative and experiential practices, and consider what healing, growth, and wholeness can mean for them.
